Our Whipped Chair focuses on carving, inspired by intricate shapes prevalent in ceramic objet and crockery. Material was removed and forms were refined with a combined use of handheld tools and an angle grinder. The final look became one of nostalgia, with shapes that were reminicent of childhood treats – especially Mr. Whippy (British) or Mr. Softee (American) ice creams - ultimately inspiring its name.
