Our Rippled Chair is a deeper dive into minimal-waste carving explored in the Baile collection. Inspired by the look and feel of ribbon, the aim was to create a controlled flowing design. As with the Baile motif, each chair leg is a single stock cut of wood, strategically cut and reconfigured to take a new sculptural form. The method ensures retained strength in the wood and minimal wood waste, resulting in undulating twists, a result that embodies the deconstruction of the rigid qualities of timber.
