Returns Policy for Permanent Collection Furniture

We hope your Wilkinson & Rivera piece brings joy to your space. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we offer a straightforward returns policy for our permanent collection furniture.

See below our eligibility terms for returns:

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.

  • Items must be in their original packaging and in a re-saleable condition

  • Proof of purchase is required

We cannot accept returns, exchanges, or provide refunds for the following:

  • Items that has been assembled or installed

  • Items that show signs of use or damage

Returns Policy for bespoke purchases

Please note that bespoke or custom-made items are not eligible for return. However, if any concerns arise, we are happy to review them on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to find a resolution. Depending on the nature of the issue, any remedial work may be chargeable. All bespoke pieces are delivered in the condition agreed upon and signed off prior to dispatch.

Returns Policy for ex-display items

Ex-display sales are final and do not qualify for returns. We ensure that all imperfections and signs of wear are thoroughly documented through photographs and descriptions prior to purchase. By completing the payment, you acknowledge the condition of the item as presented.

International Orders – Customs, Duties & Delays

We regularly ship to clients in the EU, US, and beyond. While we take every precaution to ensure a smooth delivery, customs processes vary by country and are beyond our control.

Customs duties, VAT, tariffs, and import clearance fees are the sole responsibility of the customer. These fees are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost unless otherwise stated in writing.

Wilkinson & Rivera cannot be held liable for customs delays or charges imposed by local authorities. We are not able to offer refunds or cancellations due to delays caused by customs clearance procedures.

If a shipment is refused, delayed, or returned due to unpaid duties or customs issues, the customer will be responsible for all associated costs, including return shipping, redelivery fees, and any additional charges incurred. Refunds will be issued only after safe return of the item in saleable condition, less original shipping and customs-related costs.

If you are purchasing as a private individual, please ensure that you provide a residential delivery address and a personal landline or mobile number. If you request delivery to a commercial or business address or supply a business phone number, there is a risk that customs authorities may interpret the shipment as a commercial import, which is subject to different duties, documentation, and clearance rules.

This does not apply if you are shipping to your approved import/export broker or a private storage facility. In such cases, please provide their full contact details, as they will handle customs communication directly on your behalf.

Wilkinson & Rivera work closely with experienced international shipping brokers to ensure that all pieces arrive safely and with accurate documentation.

Please note that incurred customs fees or import duties do not constitute a valid reason for a refund or cancellation. These are the responsibility of the customer and are determined by the destination country’s import laws.

How to Return

To initiate a return, please contact us in writing via email at studio@wilkinson-rivera.com within 14 days of delivery. A member of our team will respond within 48 hours to guide you through the next steps. If your purchase was made through an interior designer or procurement agency, any return requests must be submitted via the original purchaser.

Returns should be sent to: Wilkinson & Rivera, Unit 24, Hartland Road Arches, London, NW1 8HR. Please note that the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is faulty or damaged.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you regarding the approval of your refund. If approved, a refund will be processed within 7 working days, excluding any original shipping fees.

Damaged or Faulty Items

We take great care in crafting and packaging our furniture. That said, accidents can happen. Upon delivery, please inspect your item thoroughly. Any damage sustained during delivery is insured and we will arrange a replacement. In the event of damage, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs of the item, and we will provide an updated lead time for your replacement. After this time, Wilkinson & Rivera cannot be held responsible for goods no longer in our care.

Natural Material Disclaimer

Our furniture is made using natural wood, celebrated for its unique grain patterns, knots, and colour variations. These characteristics are inherent to the material and not considered defects. Returns will not be accepted on the basis of natural wood characteristics.

Minor changes may occur to timber due to environmental factors like temperature and humidity. Returns will not be accepted on the basis of climate-related movement. We will always provide care instructions upon delivery to prevent these events from occurring.
